Happy with AT&T TV
We have had ATT TV service set up for over a week so far. An similar bundle through Comcast would be almost twice what I am paying ATT’s TV service. I greatly appreciate U-Verse offering a great all-in-one bundle that stops from nailing customers with a bunch of unncecessary charges. 3 boxes (1 with DVR capabilities) are built in the price. HD embedded for complimentary for one year – only $10 per year after the promotional period terminates… not poor since U-Verse provides at least twice the number of HD channels which Comcast provides in Indianapolis.
Station shifting is pretty fast. Almost as fast as analog cable. On Demand (Pay-per-view) content is decent but not as close as the selection extended by other providers. I had a party the night after installment – they wanted to view UFC, but U-Verse wasn’t carrying it. When I called, the rep I spoke with had accepted many similar calls.
AT&T TV Equipment mostly works as advertised. Right now, there are only 4 TV flows available in the local market. I have only run out of streams once – even after grabbing all 42 of my episode tapings from my Comcast box! (You can get some of your DVR’s settings from your personalized U-Verse AT&T homepage – sweet feature). I do not have high def, thus no need for the addition. Viewing an HD channel takes up 2 streams – the leftover streams can only be used for standard definition stations. It looks like, a bump in the quantity of TV streams set to occur at the end of the year. Also, AT&T will be adding the ability to view DVR recordings from any component.
